CDPlayer for Windows
Setting up to run under windows 3.0 or later.
CDPlayer will run under windows 3.0 or later. The following steps will add
CDPlayer to your windows system.
1 Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a floppy disk or a scratch
directory on your hard disk.
2 Launch windows
3 Click on File and then Run
4 Enter A:SETUP and click Continue - replace A with the letter
appropriate to your floppy disk or the path of the temporary drive.
5 Follow the instructions on the screen.
The install program will install CDPlayer for windows in a directory called
CDplayer on drive C by default, create a Program Group called Jupiter and
create Items for CDPlayer. You may change the default directory during
installation.
Command line switch
Some CD ROM drivers do not follow the MSCDEX standard and convert track numbers
before passing the details to MSCDEX. This causes CDPlayer to report incorrect
track details when playing tracks 16 and above. If this happens on your system
edit the Command line used to run CDPlayer as follows:
1 Highlight the CDPlayer icon in the Program Manager group by clicking on it.
2 Select the File menu from the Program Manager menu bar, and then Properties.
3 Change the Command line property to read ...\PLAYER.EXE /N
You may launch CDPlayer by double clicking on the icon in the Jupiter Program
Group.
